Job Description

J.P. Morgan Commercial Banking delivers extensive industry knowledge, local expertise and seamless global capabilities to clients - including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, real estate investors and owners, and not-for-profit organizations. As a Communications Manager within Commercial & Investment Banking you will support the Commercial Real Estate business. You will lead our internal strategy for the Commercial Real Estate business by being organized, proactive and thoughtful and demonstrating the ability to execute with precision and make the most out of every engagement. In addition, you will think creatively about how to engage with thousands of employees using various channels and mediums, connecting work streams and breaking down siloes, you will be a communicator linking the team and the broader department and an innovator helping the team spot opportunities that lead to greater impact.

Job responsibilities:
  • Lead internal communications and employee engagement strategy for J.P. Morgan's Commercial Real Estate division, including All Hands and employee events, executive messages, internal newsletters, recognition opportunities, talking points and the editorial strategy.
  • Identify key milestones and examples to promote internally and externally to generate excitement and awareness and lead engagement.
  • Identify, write, edit and maintain quality control of compelling stories and content.
  • Develop strong relationships with communicators across the firm and CB team, and with key partners including Business Management, Marketing, Content, Digital and Legal to collaborate effectively on executive communications, employee engagement, social media, content development, events, etc.
  • Stay up to date on communications trends and industry news, contributing insights and helping to identify opportunities to lead greater impact through strategic communications while increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and support senior level strategic presentations and project management, including decks, briefs, talking points.
  • Track and measure results to showcase business impact.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • 5+ years of work experience and hold a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, communications or other related area.
  • Working knowledge of corporate internal and employee communications strategies, best practices, implementation and execution.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to foster collaboration, enhance communication, and support business objectives.
  • Passion and creativity for storytelling, with the ability to breakdown complex subjects for different audiences.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Analytical, strategic approach to problem solving and finding solutions.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Solid understanding of the financial services industry; experience in public relations
  • Comfortable navigating highly matrixed organizations.
  • Knowledge of Teams, Sharepoint and intranet technology.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Additional software skills (e.g., Photoshop, HTML, Adobe Creative Suite)
